The only 3 on the list I listen to are Hoelderlin, Birth Control, and SFF......and I probably play Hoelderlin more.

Hi,

I just wonder how well does everyone know the majority of that list. I can tell you I only know 5 of them "intimately".

Birth Control just a little ahead of Sieges Even.

I am into a lot of German groups, but only 3 from that list. I chose Birth Control. They qualify if only for their masterpieces Rebirth and Increase.

I know only like 4 of these, but Xhol Caravan is absolutely fantastic.

Blind Guardian followed closely by Vanden Plas, who have a new album coming out Beer

On that list, Sieges Even.

I was surprised Tortilla Flat was bottom of the poll. I really   like the flute playing within their music

Tough call, but in the end it was down to Os Mundi, Xhol Caravan and Harmonia. I went with he latter on account of the fantastic debut Musik Von, Deluxe and the live album they cut in 1974 Hamborg. Fantastic band - and one of the most unique sounding out there. They really hit a niche with their electronic Krautrock. One of their most prominent features is that two stroke engine feel they've got in the sequencer department. Really does sound like a small boat engine...
