On the basis of his current bandcamp albums I'd probably put him in the ''unsigned artists'' category. One to watch re future releases.

Well, another album was added to bandcamp six days ago, but it is called 'Edits and Excerpts', and it is just that - edits and excerpts from the first two 'Dreams And Adventures' discs: http://scottgillham.bandcamp.com/album/edits-and-excerpts" rel="nofollow - http://scottgillham.bandcamp.com/album/edits-and-excerpts . Still on the 'one to watch' list for now...

He didn't print CDs as far as I know.

It's entirely up to the team whether or not they wish to accept digital-only artists. The symphonic team chooses not to.

No problem Andy, if they chooses so, that is that. However, at October 2014 they added http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=99593" rel="nofollow - GreyField based at digital release only. Couple of times they have changed their attitude toward digital-only artists actually, so that I could not suggest Mr Gillham for Symphonic section because I didn't know what was their attitude back in July 2013.Maybe due to same reason the Crossover Team moved sugestion to Symphonic; I mean, the Crossover boys maybe didn't know that new attitude of the Symphonic Team toward digital-only artists? Nevermind. It's not important anymore. Any chance for Neo?

My opinion on this is that this man's outputs are too much on an amateur/underground level, basically home-like productions and I personally dislike the fact that several tracks are chosen to form separate releases or the longer ones to form the compilation, not a proper move I should say...plus anything symphonic rejects isn't Neo in my opinion...I am willing to keep an eye on the case though for a future album, pls knock the door for any further news.

That was we were discussing in the team's thread, the release doesn't sound as a professional recording.
The music is quite good, but the production doesn't meet the standards of PA in my opinion
For the purpose of clarity, an official release is defined here as:
1.2 Recorded and mixed in a professional manner, such that it meets commercial sound quality as found on average CDs released by commercial record companies;
|
We will also keep an eye, because the music seems very close to Symphonic.

I respect your opinion Iván, as an expert's opinion as well. But, do you heard Mr Gillham re-released / compiled album Dreams & Adventures (The Progressive Tracks) ? http://scottgillham.bandcamp.com/album/dreams-and-adventures-the-progressive-tracks" rel="nofollow - http://scottgillham.bandcamp.com/album/dreams-and-adventures-the-progressive-tracks In
my humble opinion, it's a quite nice (symphonic) sound i.e. Mr Gillham already reached that 'professional manner' with Dreams & Adventures (The Progressive Tracks) ; anyway, it's a beautiful
album and I'd like to recommend Dreams & Adventures (The Progressive Tracks) to everybody who love listening to Symphonic rock with a peacefully, gentle atmosphere

Please Svetonio, making a compilation album is a clever way of adding two amateurish studio albums, because we add all the discography.
We heard it all, and the answer is still no

We heard it all, and the answer is still no | I don't insist, Iván.Just wanna say that the production of Mr Gillham's re-released / compiled album Dreams & Adventures (The Progresssive Tracks) is perfectly fine to these ears and I strongly recommend the album to all the fans of that mellow Symphonic rock in the style of '70s. Of course, the production always could be better.

Again Svetonio
IT'S A COMPILATION.
His studio albums have an amateur production, this compilation is recorded with pieces from his previous albums
