Here's another alphabetical prog album list, this time albums beginning with the letters "D & E". This is an interesting grouping, who will score higher, Fripp & Eno v Fripp's solo album? ELP v ELPowell? And for everyone who's all over my case for putting albums beginning with "The" under "T", I put "The Dark Side of the Moon" here under "D"
For anyone curious about Devil Doll, their finest album "Eliogabalus" is in this poll. If you've heard any other Devil Doll, you know it's a roller coaster ride of crazy music and vocals by Mr Dr separated by very quiet musical interludes. Eliogabalus is very different, there are very few quiet interludes as it's nearly a non-stop seduction of madness. Check it out if you dare!
Remember this is a multiple poll so vote for all your favorites!
Have fun...

This. Made it quite the easy decision, actually. My first prog album.

I tried not to vote "other" in the other threads in preparation for the chance that Deloused might not be listed in this thread. If I had to choose from the list I would also go with Discipline.

DSotM, Damnation and other (De-loused) for me. Drama's pretty good too but I wouldn't say it's on the level of the others.

Many brilliants here, but Dark Side... is from the outer space. So D like the Dark Side, E like the ELP debut.

`Epidaurus - Earthly Paradise' for me all the way, even though it's got that pretty awful female vocalist on two tracks lol! The rest is all top-notch, yet another German classic.
There's several great albums on this list I have a lot of love for, but damn `Dark Side...' is going to win this by a mile!

Lots from D-E that I love, but from the ones listed in PA, Igor Wakhevitch's Docteur Faust is a particular favourite.
On the list, Egg.

Would have been nice to rank your top 3 or 5 of these and see how they would come out as a poll. There are so many great albums here. Dark Side is an album that I haven't listened to in its entirety in probably 25 years, and have heard some of the songs so many times.....

Yeah, totally. But from the list, Discipline. One of my favourite records ever. The guitar on that album is wild.

Yes' Drama, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and The Division Bell, and Galactic Explorers' Epitaph for Venus.
------------- I am currently digging:
Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!
Please drop me a message with album suggestions.
