Here's another alphabetical prog album list, this time albums beginning with the letter "A". I had about 35+ of these in my collection so had to narrow it down to 24 plus an "other" category.
Remember this is a multiple poll so vote for all your favorites!
Have fun...

Abbey Road isn't a prog album.
If people think Octopus' Garden, Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Oh Darling warrant Abbey Road to be classified as prog.....then I will go "he".
Really the only reason why Abbey Road is partially prog related is because of the "'Medley" on side 2. Don't get me wrong, Abbey Road is a great rock album but prog? No IMHO.
OH and where's "A" from Tull? Really, it is the definitive "A" album.....isn't it? I know I'm not with the masses but I think "A" is a fantastic album.

Some killer albums on this list - Arachnoid, Animals, Atom Heart Mother, A Night At The Opera, Acquiring the Taste, Angels Egg and A Tab In The Ocean especially get my nod of approval...
But I have a lot of love for Ange's `Au dela du Delire' - any album where Christian Decamps gets to f**k-snap and display that wild manic croon is OK with me! That was also one of the very first prog albums I ever heard and nothing prepared me for it!

Voted for Angel's Egg. Funny that that other Jethro Tull album beginning with A is not included. Now what was it called .......... (Answers on a postcard please) ...
?
or ...And then there were three.....
Astral Weeks is a good not prog choice.

I Will Pick Eno's masterpiece, Another Green World. He is outstanding, with a very rare talent, even though he is not a musician, he knows music better than anyone. And this is one of his best albums.
------------- Prog is whatevey you want it to be. So dont diss other peoples prog, and they wont diss yours

I had to pick Animals... love that album. By the way, am I the only one wondering why albums with an initial article are included under A? I would have file "A Trick of the Tail" under T. No big deal, really.

So keep in mind I have to limit the voting list to 24 so if you don't see a specific album ("A", "And Then There Were Three", etc...) it either means they're not in my collection or I had to cut them to make the top 24 a varied list. That's why there's an "other" category
I went with (in no specific order)
A Farewell to Kings A Passion Play Au Dela du Delire Angels Egg Abbey Road AOXOMOXOA

A close call between Animals and Angel's Egg.

^ Anabelas is a killer album -- highly accomplished; excellent.
Lots of A+ A albums, but I feel like voting other for Archaia's self-titled -- been revisiting that album a lot. It took me some time to fully warm up to it.
On the list: Angel's Egg, Arachnoid, and Atom Heart mother are particular favourites. When quickly scanning the list, I not quite almost mistook Ethos - Ardour for Eskaton -- Ardeur. Never heard the former, but love the latter.
