Hey, I'm a newbie here, but that is not what this post is about. I have just found a truly awesome progressive rock band, but no-ones ever heard of it and it's not listed here. It's a weird German band called Axel Rudi Pell. They have some of the best guitar solos I have ever heard, and it just seems too cool for no-one to know about it. I have got 3 albums - Kings and Queens, Masquerade Ball and Black Moon Pyramid. Where do I rate it if it's not here?

So you're telling me that you have a magic carpet and you want to fly to the king of the potato people to plead for your freedom... and you tell me you are completely sane?

Hello and welcome!

You seem to have a weird definition of progressive rock.

Axel Rud Pell? Straight heavy metal that bores me to death!

You should try a metal site if you want rate those albums.

I'd agree with Geezer that it's not really prog metal..try and grab hold of some Symphony X, Shadow Gallery, Threshold or Dream Theater and see how you get on.

Anyway, here's hoping that you continue visiting the site...

Isn't Axel Rudi Pell A GUITARIST, not A BAND?

Yeah, maybe I do have a weird definition of prog rock. But I love Jethro Tull! Only have one album (Broadsword and the Beast) but it's awesome as! Oh, and Axel Rudi Pell is the guitarist BUT he founded the band and it is named after him. So you're both right.

Anyway, this seems like a lighthearted forum, which is just what I need after enduring The Hanger (there's actually nothing wrong with that forum; its just the sleazy people who join up and spam it.). Like it or not, I'm staying.
