We're just a struggling group of musicians in the hills of Eastern Kentucky with a propensity for Progressive Rock, however you may, personally, define that. While sometimes more on the side of being more accessible to the average listener, we incorporate elements of funk and psychedelic/space rock. Our sound ranges widely between songs, and we gig at local festivals. We'd love for you to check out our music.
The Band (Members and Instruments)
As a power trio, we have only guitar, bass and drums. Our bass player, however, does use a Vocalizer for some added harmonies and trippy effects, along with an effects processor for the bass to add some depth.
Steven Caudill - Bass/Vocals
Having been playing Progressive music for a number of years, Steven is the main powerhouse for our song ideas, and as we like to call him, the Keystone in the archway. (However, all members take active roles in the writing process.)
Joe Spradlin - Drums
Joe is an animated, lively drummer with a knack for groovin'. He is more inclined towards polyrhythms and interesting patterns.
Waylon Whitson - Guitar
This is me. I'm a younger musician than most in this scene, having been playing for much less time than the other members in the band, but having always had a propensity for Prog Rock. Lots of Gilmour influence and funk/jazz style chords. Fan of the Ionian major scale and its relative minors as placed within pentatonics.
The Vision (Possible Concepts and Goals)
While, for the most part, simply enjoying to play music, we do have a set of goals in mind. We would like to establish ourselves a little more on the festival scene, and we'd love it if you were a fan! #1 goal, however: Land a gig on the Moon.
The Music, and where to find it.
Our music is comprised currently of ten songs, not all of which are available online. The ones that are however, will be linked to here. Does all of this sound like something you might like? Then head on over to our bands official Facebook, or check us out on Soundcloud or Reverbnation. We are just a couple of young guys trying to do something with our music, and we'd greatly appreciate you taking the time to get to know us. If you do find something you enjoy, leave some feedback, and give us a like or a follow to keep up with new developments, as we are always evolving. We currently have begun work on self recording and producing an EP. (For samples of the sound quality, check out Silence of the Clams and On the Run.)
For Silence of the Clams, an airy, ambient ballad about dissociation, Scotty's Body, a space rock epic climaxing in some sweet emotional goodness, and Multitude, a song named for (you guessed it) its number of time signature changes (Fun fact: the song actually changes time 43 times before dropping into the second half, titled the Evil Vegas Showtune) go here:

For On the Run, a funky chuggathon and progressive groove, alongside a track simply titled at this point, the Blues Jam, with ambient post-rock whisperings and epic Floyd-esque guitar solos go here:
