Hi All

I apologize if this has been asked before.   I'm in the midwestern part of the USA.   I love prog and would like to see more concerts of bands passing thru (St. Louis) but admittingly, I don't always know the band I want to see.

2 years ago, I got lucky (thanks to a friend) who told me of the Nektar/Brainticket concert at a small dive bar in St. Louis the night before it happened.   I immediately paid my $17 tickets and saw them the next night (what a show.  4 hours long for $17).

Over the years, I've missed some bands that came thru simply because I did not know they were coming thru.

What I'm looking for (if one exists) is a general purpose web-site where you can search by city and then see what prog bands are coming thru on tour.   If there was a site like that, I'd probably go and see bands that I've never heard of before just to hear prog music in St. Louis.  As a non-prog example, I love Joan Baez but forget check for when she's coming and then I see I missed her as she was in Missouri, etc..

At best, what I do is check for Pageant and/or Pops' (holds only about 1200?) schedule in St. Louis.  I saw Caravan/Nektar at pops back in 2004 but I got lucky there (sat 20 feet away from stage).   Again for that one, I did not check to see if Caravan/Nektar were coming.   I just accidentally stumbled upon it.

Would almost be willing to write a web site where prog bands can come to and advertise their tour schedule/city.

I'm speaking only for myself (so maybe I'm a minority) but I don't always know who I'm looking to see.  I'm more of a "Who's coming to St. Louis this year and then I'll check to see if I want to go and see them"   rather than a "I already know who I want to see so i'll go to each of their web-sites and check their schedule to see if they're coming to town".

thanks, progbaby
