| I think the forum uses off the shelf forum software. I don't know how much flexibility there would be to customise it. |

The search facility in the off-the-shelf forum software (Web Wiz Forums) used by ProgArchives is quite limited. I find it irritating when searching for a specific keyword to be presented with multi-page threads: how on Earth can the author of the Web Wiz Forums package expect someone to have to look through twenty (say) threads each with twenty (say) pages? It's impossible. The search facility ought to at least return the specific page(s) in a multi-page thread.
