Kinda reminds me of Soft Machine, around "Six" or "Seven". Maybe I'm off the mark, but that's what first came to mind. That stuff sounded good. hahahah yes SOLD!!! mighty Tortoise prevails always!!! hmmm i do actually own Seven, but never really heard it that much, was some time ago too...ok i go dig it out to listen again tks!

I have three early Tortoise albums (all generally rated very highly by critics), and though they all sound really cool, none of them has really knocked me off my feet yet. No "A-Ha!" moments that I usually get when I just "get" a band. It'll probably happen eventually.. I like that style of music pretty much.
