Hello! I am BlackenedGass and have just signed up to this wonderful forum. So what to say? Well, I'm a huge Prog fan, as you may have noticed from the thread name. I have a disturbingly large CD collection. I enjoy rock and metal music, with Progressive as my favorite sub genre. I'm a huge fan of many progressive rock/metal bands, and have seen a lot of them live... some of which I thought I'd never see! In my spare time I like to, amongst others, play the guitar and viola. (Yes, I am a Caravan fan, why do you ask?) I think that covers the basics. I look forward to having many discussions about all of this wonderful music! BG |

Hello and thankyou for the welcome, Ambient Hurricanes (Wonderful name by the way.) As to bands I like, we'd be here all night! Here's a (very) condensed list in no real order: Queen (All time favourite.) King Crimson Caravan Hawkwind Van Der Graff Generator Curved Air Yes ELP Camel Pink Floyd East Of Eden High Tide It's A Beautiful Day Kansas Dream Theater Porcupine Tree OSI Opeth Sigur Ros I am currently trying out Comus.
