Subject: Pick Only One #1: Band

Thinking of starting a series of threads like this and posting a new one every few days or something. Will start with some simple ideas such as bands etc, but will throw some random options in from time-to-time. Let's see how well this goes down.

So, for the #1 edition of this revolutionary thread series, we'll go with the most basic and obvious option: Favourite Band.

The rules are simple:

NO HONORABLE MENTIONS!

NO RUNNERS UP!

PICK ONLY ONE!!!

YES

Other bands have made some music I may enjoy more but only a few works or during a short career. Considering a combination of average quality of the music and longevity Yes is the one (KC has similar merits but at the end of the day i enjoy more the more symphonic style of Yes).

I fluctuate between tens of styles, acts and moods every week, and I have lately lost the will to champion bands like were they Manchester United. It's music.

I couldn't blame someone for not likely Slapp Happy though. I get it. But they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
I really wouldn't know what way to recommend them - which album to choose. Well, if you like Henry Cow, "Desperate Straights" is a collaboration between them and Slapp Happy.
