I'm ashamed to admit I don't know what the balls does to the waveform.  If I still had my old Korg Poly 61, I might.  It's between frequency and attenuator.  I see the Voltage Controlled Amplifier or VCA bank next to that bank and all important Envelope Generator bank.  The envelope generator of course makes the paper things with a sticky flap you use to send your mail in. Wink

Boy, that's.... that's a lot of wires.

If I ever get enough money for a Moog, I'll stick with the Minis.

Emerson would stick a dagger in his organ during live performances, but I suppose that doing the same to his balls would have been too shocking.

I have no idea what that particular module does, other than add some balls to some sound. I've a larger photo which shows it in context if anyone is interested.

LOL Good to know one of our favorite prog geniuses has a sense of humor about his equipment.  That's assuming not all Moogs come with a "Balls knob."

Isn't "knob" British slang for another object associated with balls?  Do you think this was intentional?

Smaller balls. I should probably add, these photos were taken at the Moog factory in the early '80s by one of my friends, who happened to be there when E's synth was in for 100K miles maintenance.

Yeah, I can see how you can get "balls" from LPF Resonance Amount. Tongue

I dunno, after seeing that bigger picture, I'm getting hungry for spaghetti.

I should be careful or it might lead into self oscillation. Embarrassed
