Stumbled upon this band quite by accident, and was quite impressed by what I heard, so I'm including them in this forum so that others can have a listen, and maybe comment...

Elora are a six-piece from Marseille, PACA, France. They actually began as a three-piece in 2004, consisting of Damian, Jean-Vincent and Lionel (respectively on vocals, bass and guitar), and were named 'Elora' after Jean-Vincent's baby daughter, who was born just before the band were formed. They were subsequently joined by Patrice (keyboards), Sebastian (drums) and Anastasia (vocals), and play a mixture of progressive rock with catchy melodies and sometimes oriental flavors. After 3 years of gigs on local stages, including Espace Julien (Marseille), the Rockstore (Montpellier), the first part of Kaolin's 'Back In Our Creeks' tour and several acoustic set radio appearances, Elora entered the local 'Sound Suite Studio' in December 2007 with Terje Refnes (big shot of progressive rock) to record a four-track self-produced EP called "En rêve" (In Dreams). They have toured extensively since, with further radio airplay too.

Current full line-up:
• Anastasia Moussalli - vocals
• Damien Dahan - vocals
• Lionel Giacobbe - guitar
• Patrice Cannone - keyboards
• Sebastien Vignard - drums
• Jean-Vincent (Vince) Filippini - bass

Influences stated as 'rock bands of the 70s progressive such as Genesis, Pink Floyd and Magma, but
especially by the more recent ones like Porcupine Tree, The Gathering, Lacuna Coil, Jeff Buckley, Muse, Incubus, Sigur Ros, Pleymo, Marillion, Pinkfloyd, U2, Watcha, Radiohead and Riverside.'
Their first full length album is due anytime now...

I reckon they stand a decent chance of inclusion once they get the album out and on sale (the 4-track EP doesn't appear to be available to puchase anywhere).
