..don't think so. Pretty sure there is a running gag in the film about swallows.
 
As I recall swifts and swallows aren't in the same taxological order - swallows more closer related to sparrows than they are to swifts... I've a feeling swifts are related to something really bizarre, like hummingbirds or something.
