November 11, 2011 ... feeling a bit cool air in Osaka, Japan (but pretty warmer for early November), I opened the door of Nakatsu Vi-Code, where Zonk Monk’s debut EP release gig took place. Shoko (NAGASAKI; keyboards) and Ai (OHNUMA; keyboards) both said they’d met the "finished" debut EP that morning ...the two mademoiselles looked quite happy to look at the EPs, and of course take pictures smiling all over.

Quoted from Ai’s blog, with a comment "Very glad, too glad to keep my mind ... because of collaboration from lots of friends".

At 9:30 PM, after three performances completed, they finally appeared on the stage, greeted with a storm of applause.

From left to right; Ai, Kegoi, and Shoko

The first song was ... oh, I’d not listened to this yet ... yes exactly, "Into The Green World" (composed by Shoko), that was played in Osaka for the first time. Fantastic melody texture and deeply green, woody, forested keyboard stream took the audience into the green world, really.

Shoko the cool beauty

They played six tunes (including all songs in the debut work) for about three quarters an hour as follows;

1. Into The Green World
2. U.T. - A Hole In Danger
3. Air
4. Going Up
5. Disorder - Out Of The Cosmos
6. Eclipse (Encore)

Ai the enthusiastic princess (and sorry I could not take fine pics in such a dark livehouse, Ainunn :\)

Some accidents (e.g. Shoko dropped her microphone just in playing, or their talk in interludes between songs could not be well-harmonized contrary to their completely harmonized play ... ) happened but their passion play based upon keyboard-beauty plus drumming macho (!) could make us almost forget the passage of time (and take good pics, especially in the latter part of their gig).

Kegoi the sweaty "short pants" drummer (sorry :P)

They will play on stage in Tokyo in November 26, 2011 ... with a collaborator ISAO (guitar). Let me say good luck friends!
