Epics of different styles. A highly acclaimed suite of many ideas, including heavy outbursts versus a pastoral Quebec masterpiece. Vote only if you are familiar with Harmonium's as well. (I imagine everyone here heard of Supper's Ready)

it's singular "histoire" and not plural and englicized "histories".

No epic can beat "supper's ready" though.

Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

... but that Harmonium album is a good one too. I probably like Depuis l'automne a bit more than Histoires, though.

No song can beat Suppers Ready. Yes, Depuis l'automne is my favourite song on that album as well.

"Supper's Ready" is definitely my choice over "Histoire sans Parole". Now, if you had the Harmonium epic up against "The Battle of Epping Forest", I would gladly vote for Harmonium.

Histoire Sans Paroles could contend for being the most beautiful piece of Prog.

Supper's Ready... Not really.

Was listening to King Crimson's Lizard.

Was trying to decide which i like more.
Lizard is very eclectic, dynamic and very interesting.
Hm.

Suppers ready is IMO amongst the most significant progressive rock classics of all time. Not true for Historie Sans Paroles (it's great too, but not the same league as SR).
