| When I get this, it's usually because of an error of mine, like using some special characters in the album title, or uploading a huge-size cover image. Sometimes it's unexplainable. I haven't been able to use the search and add YouTube videos tool for about six weeks now. I've tried everything - logging out & back in again, restarting the computer, even tried a completely different computer, but all to no avail. The preview of the video always works (and plays) fine, but as soon as I hit the 'add this video' tab, I get the same annoying error message referred to in this thread (500 - Internal Server Error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed) every time. Had no problem in the early part of 2011, when I added several vids for different bands, but now it's impossible for me to do it for any of them. Doesn't matter whether I try to add a comment in the box below, or just add the video as it is - it's a failure every time! The strange thing is, I keep seeing user-submitted video feeds all the time on facebook - so someone is managing it somehow. Any ideas anyone? 
Edit: I can add albums to a band's discography just fine - I've never had a single hitch with that...It's just the search and add video tool that simply refuses to work for me anymore.

I only get this error message when trying to upload an image on MMA website.......My issue here on PA is I cannot delete images from my file manager....I am close to full (but this is on another thread.....supposedly has to do with IE8) -------------

| This internal server issue is nothing to do with IE8 (or IE9 which I am using) I don't think. I tried to upload a video tonight using Safari as my browser and exactly the same thing happened. One thing that happened with Safari though that I thought seemed strange when I logged into the forum was a small message box which appeared briefly while the log-in details were being processed saying "missing plug-in"...The log in was succesful however, but I wonder if this mysterious missing plug-in (I haven't seen the message when I log in to the forum using IE9 though) is anything to do with my inability to use the video upload tool?? Surely an internal server error message suggests a problem within PA itself though rather than anything to do with the computer trying to access the problematic resource? |

I'm totally convinced that this isn't a general software issue. My own particular problem with adding videos using the 'search and add YouTube videos' tool only started after I made a change to the account I use on here back in the summer. Prior to this, every video I added went through without a single hitch - and there were about 15 of them in all I guess, over a period of several weeks. Since that change, not one attempt has been succesful - and I have tried adding a selection of different videos on numerous occasions now. This is not a commonly reported problem, which it would be if there was anything actually wrong with the 'search and add' software, & therefore makes me think it is something connected with the setting up of actual account permissions in my own case, rather than a general sofware isssue. It is too much of a sudden transition from 100% success rate to 0% success rate for it to be an occasional software bug. The error message "500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed" is a non-specific error message that can caused by many different things - I just got exactly the same message displayed when I clicked on a link to a post of a duplicate album entry that had since been deleted by admin - if something isn't available (or isn't allowed, which I think is my own particular problem) you get this same standard page displayed. Hopefully someone with appropriate admin permissions will have a look at the way my account is set up, and just make sure that there isn't a block of some kind in place here. Thanks in advance.

This error is a very common error in any browser or it can show up in any operating system. It shows inside browser . Its a server problem that means some problems happening in server and server not able to recognize this error.In this problem you simply do first one thing just reload the web page sometimes this error can be solved by only this technique. ------------- But sorry I'm a technical support spammer. |

I am having the same problem at the moment, from two attempts at adding an album to the Various Artists (Concept Albums) page.
I added two other albums to the Ariel's page last night with no problems, it's a new problem this morning.

I'm getting this error message when I try to upload videos to the Pokerface artist-page. I can select the vids, but when i hit the "add this video"-button I get the "500-internal server error"-message. Anyone here who can help me out? |

Many thanks for trying to help Andy. Unfortunately, while I can add artists and bios from the Admin Zone I can't edit albums there. I checked the album art and it's a jpg. Tried to fix a couple of typos again today but still not working... I think the clue is in the 'internal error' part of the message. |

After logging in twice and typing my comment on a review I often get this message. It's annoying because I really don't feel like typing my comment again and even if I do I get the same message again. I usually have to try again another time. I think I have to start saving my comments so that I can just copy and paste later in case they don't get posted the first time. ------------- I used to be a fan of particular bands like Rush, Yes, and Deep Purple. Actually it seems rather random. It appears some people can and others can't, on both sides of the fence (i.e. simple members or collabs). Simple as that. As to what that stems from is anybody's guess... Thanks for the additions  |

Oh, that's weird.
The Artist data is still on the database, for example ID#5455 is Oxomaxoma and that page is still editable from the Admin Page.

Do the album pages open for you? I get the 500 error. I wonder if the error is because of the Russian letters, which you would not get being in Russia. -------------

^ Nope. All ORGIYA PRAVEDNIKOV album pages give 500 error (it was not clear from your post that you mean albums).
Can't say whether the problem is in cyrillic letters. Can't open most of AQUARIUM http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2528" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2528 albums, but in case of ARSENAL http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=6020" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=6020 about 4/5 of all album pages can be opened. From the other hand, the only album from countless ASIA releases which gives 500 error is the one containing Russian letters in its title: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=4342" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=4342 ("Live Москва").

I tried to start a new topic but it wouldn't let me! So i'm getting this just trying to open a link to a particular album. I've checked other albums with Cyrillic like Russian Aquarium and they work fine. Gunesh Ensemble - Looking At Earth still not fixed |

First time last night around 11:00 cst....I repeatedly received multiple '500 internal service error messages' ; had to close down the PA web and go elsewhere since it wouldn't stop.

Just tried to add a picture to an artist bio and got the dreaded thread title. My first attempt so I hope it's just 'that time of the year' or something that will be fixed in 24-48 hours.

Check the files type and make sure it's .jpg; that's often a culprit. If not, just give it a minute and try again, a lot of times it's just server poop.
