Label description: THE SAMURAI OF PROG is a new group, named after Marco BERNARD's nickname, an Italian settled in Finland. Obviously not having enough of being the editor of the Colossus fanzine, and regularly publishing, with the help of the Musea label, numerous projects paying a tribute to Progressive rock in all its incarnations, our man took his bass to perform a handful of mythical pieces: "The Lamia" (GENESIS), "Starship Troopers" (YES), "World Of Adventures" (THE FLOWER KINGS), "Assassing" (MARILLION), "Gravita 9.81" (ARTI + MESTIERI), "Dogs" (PINK FLOYD)... A caprice ? Far away from it, since Marco BERNARD has been part of the Italian band ELEKTROSHOCK at the end of the Seventies. Let's also note that THE SAMURAI OF PROG is a real band, completed by drummer Kimmo PORSTI (MIST SEASON) and singer Steve UNRUH. Some renowned musicians also guested on "Undercover" (Musea, 2011), such as Roine STOLT (THE FLOWER KINGS), David MYERS (THE MUSICAL BOX) or Michael MANRING (ATTENTION DEFICIT). To conclude, the album ends up with four compositions originally played by ELEKTROSHOCK, here covered by RESISTOR (USA), Alfio COSTA & Guglielmo MARIOTTI (Italy), ROZ VITALIS (Russia) and CONTRARIAN (USA).
