Bonjour à tous Smile,

Let me introduce myself.
I'm Vincent, 22 years old and living in France! I was invited by Seventhsojourn to present myself in this section, so here I am.

When did I fall in love with Prog ? Well I can remember that event perfectly. It was in 2007, 4 years ago. At this time I was listening to over well-known music like Muse or The Strokes, David Bowie etc...
Someday an internet friend told me to listen to this youtube link : "Ayreon - Loser". Never heard of this group before. So I started the music, and at the end, my mind was just blown ! I loved it so much that I wikipediad "Ayreon" and found it was some kind of prog band. Then I downloaded (Yeah I know, it's bad but I'm not doing it anymore ^^) the entire "The Human Equation" album.

THAT WAS SO AMAZING I ALMOST DIED Dead ! Never heard this type of music before, with conceptual album and so on.
Few months after I wanted to discover other bands like that, and I found Pain of Salvation thanks to related link on Youtube. That was "BE" album. And once again, orgasm into my ears.

At this point, I was definitely convince that Prog Music was music at his perfection, though I knew a few prog bands (Circus Maximus, Dream Theater...).

My fear was that I could never find other bands like that...Well, I was SO WRONG Tongue! Thanks to www.lastfm.com, I found bands related to mine like:
-Transatlantic
-Frost
-Beardfish
-Anathema (not so prog but hey)
-Riverside
-Lunatic Soul
-Opeth
...

This was a period where I discovered band every month. But then, a discussion with some prog fans, who were more of the 70's period (which I didn't know at all at this time), led me to listen to Marillion, Fish period of course. And again, that was just orgasmic.Approve

It's only been a few months that I'm really into the original Prog like Genesis, Yes and King Crimson. And what could I say about them except that I can't pass a journey without listening to them. This is just so great, so perfect I can't imagine how I could live my first 18 years without prog music.

So here I am, on PA with you, prog fans. And I'm very happy to be here because this site is the one which made me listen to a lot of Prog Band.

Here is my album collection : http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.131429076901177.15784.100001022559886&l=cdb442de28" rel="nofollow - http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.131429076901177.15784.100001022559886&l=cdb442de28

A bientôt sur ce forum Hug!
