Well even though I have already started posting and have had this account for a while, I thought I would make one of these obligatory introduction threads.

I have been exploring this site for a few years, but made the decision a few months ago to join this website.

While I was exposed to Yes, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, ELP and King Crimson at a very young age. What really got me into prog was Porcupine Tree and Opeth. My tastes in prog are generally all over the place, although I will say I tend to have a particular soft spot for prog that is atmospheric and dark or avantgarde or particularly dynamic. However, the only prog subgenre I have not really been able to get into all is neo-prog.

I am a musician and have played in bands in the past, and still once in a while try to compose my own music.

Right, sounds like a good oppurtunity to quote Dame Edna when she had Meat Loaf in her program. "Welcome, mr. Loaf, or may I call you Meat?"
So welcome, scum, or may I call you questionable? LOL

No, welcome to the forum as an active user. Now we know you exist, and not just the other way around. Have a good time on the forum.

I think I'll probably name my next classical guitar composition after you. Thanks for the inspiration!
