Hey everyone!

My name is Tom, I am lead vocalist for Revelation Project, a progressive metal band from Western New York, USA. It is good to be part of the Prog Archives.

I am a long time prog lover who comes out of the Genesis birthing process !

I saw the "Wind and Wuthering" tour here in Buffalo, in '76 and was forever changed. I was also influenced early by Chris Poland of Megadeth and Ohm fame. I knew Chris when I was growing up...I played in a band with his brother, and Chris turned us on to things like Return to Forever, and John McLaughlin etc... So Chris' band would do fusion stuff, but at parties they would have to do some rock songs with lyrics, so I got to sing with them. I am very grateful to Chris for expanding my musical horizons early on.

Now I am into alot of stuff, although I tend to still enjoy some of the 'tradional type prog elements'...12 string, mellotron, volume pedal or sustain stuff. Nice sounding melodies and harmonies. But I can never exclude stuff that continues to expand my mind! Being a "mindbender" and all!!!!!

I am currently really enjoying Tomas Bodin's "I A M"

Well, that is some anyway...I will be posting in some pertinent sections regarding the band and such. But, thank you for reading...and I look forward to learning some stuff here!

Peace,

Tom
