22 is a band that is highly complex yet amazingly catchy and wierd

they have lots of odd-time, think of a mathematical pop/rock band, sort of math rockish but catchy, more complex then Mew, not as spastic as the Mars Volta but some songs are CRAZY

they need exessive listening since they can seem to pop at first but when listend carefully enough, well you might end up getting a new favourite band (me and everyone who have seen them live have become fans)

new prog in its freshest and most modern form

Excellent band. I can't consider them progressive, though.

Eh..... I'd barely consider them related to crossover. They sound like a pop spinoff of dredg

They consider themselves progressive, a detour or branch of progrock - what they call progressive pop. Not that it is a golden argument in this debate, but in a world where that rarely happens, that should at least be considered positive Tongue

I'd be happy to see them in post-rock or crossover.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

Sounds quite Crossover-Related to me, but I wouldn't recommend it to Prog Related.

this band is probably as technical and complex as Meshuggah and Cynic, (thier I said it)

also pay attention to the drums, he is a 5 year conservatorry trained drummer in jazz music, their so much muscal knowledge in the band it is insane,

here is a review from a forign page

I'm afraid this is not Mathrock by any stretch--  however, it's possible Crossover Prog may be interested

^ +1.

I don't see the point in opening a new thread while the previous thread is still open, so I'll move the posts from here to there.

EDIT: Done.
