Methenys version is a bit empty for me and Camels is less empty but still arrogantly poppish.....still being a huge camel fan i'd pick CAMEL.

Hi,

Not sure why you are comparing Apples to Oranges ... they are both healthy for you, but their use is quite different unless you are a fruit maniac!

Calling music like Camel's "arrogantly poppish", to my ears is like saying tht you have not really heard it anyway, since Metheny's is way more pop'ish in that jazz'y crapp'y vein, than Camel's album ever was in terms of progressive.

For that matter, Camel did not write music for "progressive" folks ... they wrote music for themselves and their body of work and personnel. So your comparison is slightly off base and ... just a mental exercise for yourself!

-------------
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
