To be sure, the artists which most of us agree to be progressive have composed and still are composing some of the most complex music ever to have been composed. In addition to complex musicianship, I often sense a certain intellectual current permeating prog works--a current usually limited to individuals of some serious educational background or of some uncommon natural intellect. This observation has led me to wonder where and how our Robert Fripps, our Ian Andersons, our Keith Emersons, et alii were educated, or if they were not educated at all.

Any information on this topic would be appreciated; I'm very curious.

Thanks,
Keith
