So I finally have my hands on Psychonaut, and after a listening, I find the album very... hypnotic, but still strange. Maybe the album hasn't hit me yet, but I want to hear your opinions on it. What are your favorite tracks, or something that leaves a strong impact on you. I still think Radagacua is a wickedly chill, "stoner" feel to it. I thought, Like a Place in the Sun, was a good song too, I just don't like the chorus too much.

I haven't heard this for awhile. I'm more familiar with Cottonwoodhill and Celestial Ocean. I think Psychonaut is better than the former, but not as good as the latter.

This was an excellent  Swiss group.

Celestial Ocean is definitely the most proggiest of the first three, quite a departure from the psychy Cottonwoodhill.
Psychonaut however is my personal fav.

In '80 they put out the "Adventure" lp  which is a single track continued on side 2. "Voyage' was released in '82 its heavier but like Adventure, compared to the earlier lps its more electronic.

"Adventure" and "Voyage" were finer than some of the most highly recommended Tangerine Dream titles. Different sections of the jamming remind me of Soft Machine six period. Aside from giving these extreme comparisons both releases were very original and worthwhile purchases. "Celestial Ocean" was reminiscent of the sound and style Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth produced when they worked together on ambient sections of Gong's early music. It also brought to mind....Cosmic Jokers.
