I just wanted to share with you guys the fact that I bought Glass Hammer 'Lex Rex' today... its my first GH outing, and I'm on my second listen.  It's really good stuff...I'm very impressed.

This is an example of a band I have got to hear about through Prog Archives and you guys...THANKS!!  So, lets celebrate by you telling me which band you are going to take the plunge with next?  Have you been influenced by people on this site?

Sounds like you dig neo-prog which isn't really my field of expertise... sorry.

I don't dig neo-prog in general, but I have three or four MP3's by these guys, and they are great! Will be picking up a CD next time I'm in a city with a real record store (all we have in this town for CD's are Shopko, K-Mart & Wal-Mart ).

Sorry, I haven't made myself clear - I wasn't really expecting this thread to be a critique on Glass Hammer; more on the fact that if I hadn't checked into this site, I probably wouldn't have heard of them.

I was therefore asking what new bands you were thinking of 'Taking the Plunge' with next, and in what ways (if any) has this site helped you in forming that opinion.

I was hoping it would be an interesting thread....
