Meddle, is my favorite album of all time, without no doubt, I've been voting for Dark Side of the moon in the other poll, even if it my least favorite Pink Floyd album, since the question is which album is the best. But sorry Dark Side, this time even you have meet your overman.

And Meddle needs some votes, since DSotM will win without a doubt. So, my vote goes for dark side.

Dark Side of the Moon is Floyd's supreme album, but it's not my favorite.

Meddle and Obscured by Clouds are my favorite Floyd albums.

DSOTM.

Meddle is a Top 5 PF album though.

Meddle for me, though both aren't among my favorite Floyd albums.

My third and fourth favourite PF album. I have ranked Meddle higher than Dark Side of the Moon.

I would usually vote for Meddle but I gave my vote to DSOTM . The little voice in my head keeps telling me "Don't forget about Seamus mate!".

I go with Dark Side, for I think it's a better album as a whole. Though for me Echoes is a better song than anything on DSotM, and One of this Days just as good as anything on that album. As a matter of fact, I would have some difficulty choosing a standout song from DSotM, they all contribute to the greatness of the album as a whole (even On the Run... even if I would never ever listen to it just by itself).

Great to be voting with the majority, for a change.

Surprisingly, these are the only 2 albums I own from PF, even though I've heard almost all of their albums.

I'll go with Meddle.

So hard to choose! I think I'll go with Meddle because of Echoes. DSOTM is flawless compared to Meddle though because I don't like Seamus.

Once they are present on the sleeve design of all the album's editions and on tons of books about PF (the most recent entitled "The Lunatic"), I don't think there's anybody on this site who still doesn't know them.

Waters has a bad temper, we know, but I'm sure he won't start a lawsuite about lyrics copiright Big smile

Said so, it's good to remember that lyrics are copyrighted material and publishing them without permission can be considered an offense by the artists.

Just to add to what Jim (and Snow Dog) posted, we were once threatened with Copywrite violation because we were allowing members to post and reproduce full lyrics so now we ask members not to do it. A few lines are OK but not the full song, thanks.

How many of these Meddle voters are just "too individual" to vote for the generally-more-popular album?......

It's great and all that, particularly side two, but I feel that the majority of those songs are mediocre and in any case, surpassed by DSOTM. That's my opinion of course, but I get the impression (not just on this poll) that people will often shout about liking something less popular just to prove some kind of point.

Or worse, make a list of other choices they like that aren't on the poll! As if anybody cares about how musically diverse you are, or how many obscure things you can name - just answer the question........

Sorry for the negativity lol

It is never a problem posting a few lyrics, reviewers do this and magazines but they never post all the lyrics thats all i thought. I had to remove some lyrics from the Genesis thread on the poll i did and understandably as I had too many. A few lyrics are definitley a good thing to understand the artists themes in the music.
