Sheherazade if it was the live version dated '76. For studio in '75 it's Shine on
------------- I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Shine on, but Histoire Sans Paroles, Ommadawn pt 1 and Rubycon are great.

Another one for Harmonium. Frankly, I'm surprised Shine On is pulling away by that wide of a margin

Indeed! Solar...for me. Mumps is also great. Scheherazade...well composed, but don't really like the theme or the presentation of it, leaves me a bit cold. Shine On is rather boring, and that's coming from a PF fan. It marks the point from where their songwriting distinctly slid a few notches for me, the organic magic of Meddle-Obscured-DSOTM was gone and its place, calculated and ponderous pieces of music that way overstayed their welcome.

As much as I love nearly everything on that list. Maneige's Les Porches de Notre Dame is by far the most beautiful sonic creation of Man.

From here I only know Shine On, Hisoires Sans Paroles, and Scheherazade, and love them all. I guess my favorite would be Shine on though. I don't know Ommadawn, only a small excerpt, but for what I've listened from Mike Oldfield I would expect it to be really good, I have to get it soon.
