Shocked What?! I thought that he died in the early 80s! Does the decrepit old codger still have the strength to lift a drum stick?Wink

(Remember that post, Danbo? Creaky old Bill is not as good as some obscure flash new twenty-something year-old? HA!) LOL

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

Nobody has it yet. Details are annouced in the latest Jazzwise magazine in the UK this week - joint leaders of the band,  Bruford and Tim Garland, are both on the magazine's cover and interviewed at length inside. And something which may create some interest, Bruford  also has his current play list published in the magazine too:

Dave Douglas: Freak In
Ojos De Brujo: Bari
Tubby Hayes Quintet: Late Spot At Scott's
Soulive: Doin' Something
Julian Segal: Close-up
Dave Holland Quintet: Extended Play
Tommy Smith: Evolution
Tower Of Power: Very Best Of
Roy Haynes: Roy Haynes Trio
Michael MacDonald: The Voice Of..

Quite an eclectic range of music to be listening to. Some jazz soul, straight jazz, jazz dance. And new Spanish flamenco cross-over; some gave me a copy of Barcelona's Ojos De Brujo's  album two weeks ago  - a music prize winner in the UK in 2003 - a great mix of all sorts and apparently the band's lead guitarist also plays in a leading Spanish jazz rock band.

Well I'll be spanked. Bill's stepping out again.... Haha Dick, you got me on that. Research calls... Tomorrow.

You were close but the band is calling itself "Earthworks Underground" - I think I included the name when I took the liberty and  attempted to correct the errors on the UK page

Earthworks Underground are appearing at the South Bank Art Complex in London during June
