I have the feeling that there are many Genesis/Yes fans in the forum and many Rush fans, but the intersection between both groups seems to be small. Am I wrong with my impression? That is why I made up this poll.
So are you a Genesis/Yes fan, but never got really into Rush music? Or are you a Rush fan, and Genesis/Yes do not really interest you? Or do you love all the three the same way? Also, if you do not like any of the three, I am interested in what you listen to instead.

This is quite an uneven poll. It's as if you asked what's heavier: 2 blue whales or a medium-sized cat.

Went with I like Genesis/Yes, but I do not like Rush very much, although I've only heard one Rush album once.

Please, I am not asking, which is your favourite band. If, for example, Genesis is your favourite, but you like Rush, too, vote for the first option: that you like all three. (Probably I should not have said, that you should like them in the same way.) I am really interested in the intersection of the fans. Only vote for the second option, if you have listened to several Rush songs and say: "Interesting, but this is not really my taste."

I can't vote cause I like Yes, and I'm not a fan of both Genesis and Rush. This option is not in the poll.

A big fan of all three. Genesis is probably my overall favorite, but there's not much between them these days.

All three are fantastic. But I will always find myself listening to Rush more often, its just more my style. Whereas the other two I usually listen to in short binges every once in a while.

I choose first item BUT I think you must seperate Yes and Genesis. I have a friend loves Genesis and dont like Yes. He say Yes is very positive!!!! He like Dark materials. And I have a friend die for Yes and he never like Genesis (unfortunately).

I´ve picked 2nd item. But you´ve omitted four choices:
- I like Rush/Genesis, but I do not like Yes very much
- I like Rush/Yes , but I do not like Genesis very much
- I like Genesis , but I do not like Rush/Yes very much
- I like Yes , but I do not like Rush/Genesis very much

Musically, I love Rush. But I wish they had a different vocalist. The older this old fart gets, the more I dislike ultra-high-pitched singers. (Pavlov's Dog, Rush, even Jon Anderson grates on my nerves once in a while). But Rush's music is good enought that' I'll listen anyway.

Rush is not in classic Yes or Genesis' league---Rush has a few good songs but to me they are more a power proggy pop metal---they write catchy riffs with hooks and verses and are fun to listen to if you are in the mood for over the top cheese--which I admit I sometimes like.

Yes, in fact Rush and Yes are also similar in that they have more rock in their music and also have a high pitched singer at the helm. Genesis are quite different from both and much closer, imho, to what the first wave of prog was all about. Yes had their boots in both worlds and Rush of course heralded the new kind of prog, the one that's most popular today.

I can't stand the sound of Rush, though I must say they do have some quality composition once and a while.

I prefer Rush's 70's output to that of Genesis or Yes but only slightly. I much prefer post-70s Rush to Yes or Genesis of that same era. That said, Rush's post Signals output isn't great either.

Love all three, although I do get confused when critics described Snakes & Ladders as Rushs' best output for two decades. I thought it was average, at best.

in Two decades you would have Roll the Bones, Counterparts, Test for Echo, Vapor Trails, and Snakes and Arrows. What order would you put them in? I would rate them:
Counterparts Snakes and Arrows Roll the Bones Test for Echo Vapor Trails

A big fan of Genesis. I like many of Yes stuff but not all. Rush has some good things but as an overall is a bit humdrum and repetitive. So I`ll go with option 2.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Genesis, can't get enough of them! I do not hate Rush or Yes, I really enjoy several songs by both bands, but I have never bought any of their cds. Over the years I have tried to get into Yes by borrowing tapes and cds, and listening to songs on the internet, however they really are not for me. Of the two I would have to say that I prefer Rush.

I like all three, but there are portions of their careers I do not care for:
Genesis-everything after Duke-weak Yes-Most of the Trevor Rabin period and Union-yuk. Rush-much of the period between Moving Pictures and Vapor Trails-very uneven
