IMPORTANT:

Don't base your opinion off of how many or how good the bands of the country are to you, but the STYLE you like more.

I've not heard any full albums from the Italian Zeuhl team, sadly. From what I've heard, I prefer the French.

I almost considered leaving Italy out since it's so obscure (unfortunately), so you can go ahead and vote even if you haven't heard anything from Italy yet.

There are different nationalities/styles of a genre that was invented by one band?

How keen.

Honestly, anymore French and Japanese Zeuhl are so close in greatness and style for me now, I think I'll vote for the Japanese since they're not going to get many votes here.

Extremely close for me too, and I'll vote similarly.

MAGMA

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Tha Magus is better. Tongue

There's also Runaway Totem, but they're pretty mediocre.

I'm going to go with Japan as well. Aside from Magma's welcome return and Jannick Top's Infernal Machina, there hasn't been much in the way of great Zeuhl from France since the early 80s (I love Setna, but they're more the Zeuhl equivalent of neo prog for me). Japanese Zeuhl has picked up the ball and run with it, taking the genre into the 3rd millennium and opening up interesting new possibilities.

Same people really. UTO is an offshoot from RT.

The first two were decent Magma copy, but the next three are pretty close to garbage.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,

I actually liked Runaway Totem's latest album, Manu Menes (which is their seventh). But then, what do I knowLOL?

I'm aware of that, I just never really liked anything I heard from RT, but I love both of UTO's albums.
