The Human Equation by Ayreon. - its the first that springs into my head.
 Why? I never get sick of it and it intro'd me to full blown conceptual masterpieces.

it only took me 2 seconds to decide- Illusions On A Double Dimple by Triumvirat this album will always remain a bench mark for me, and the greatest prog album of all time! |

If I hadn't heard this album, it would be a tough choice between Close To The Edge/Relayer/Supper's Ready/Octopus. But I have heard this album, so it's pretty easy.

Maybe Fragile? Not all that cohesive as a whole album, but the mere sum of all its incredible parts is enough to propel it to greatness. If I had to pick something uncommon/underrated, I'd say Nektar's Journey to the Centre of the Eye. |

 I absolutely adore the two songs on the second disc of Not as Good as the Book. Those two songs alone would make an excellent album (a full-lenght at that), but as a 'bonus' you get the very good first disc as well. This was a tough choice between Not as Good as the Book, Spock's Beard's Snow and VDGG's Still Life |
