Hey there, time for some shameless self-promotion.. Tongue

Me and a extremely good bass player I know recorded this fusion jam/improvisation a few years back (March 2008), and I know some of you already are familiar with it but I decided to start an own thread for it for new listeners. The piece is almost 12 minutes long, a little fusion epic with other words. The piece is mainly in fusion/jam terretory throughout although it get's a little heaver at the end. The drums and bass were recorded first then the guitar were added by Espen afterwards.

line up:

myself / drums, metal-guitar
Espen Hauge / bass, guitar

We also have a YouTube video out, an excerpt from Scott Henderson's "Dolemite" (this time with guitarist Roger Hannevig on the team as well)

A few more  http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=81E2F525B4B362CA - videos featuring my playing, with good help from some of my musician friends.

Hoping for some positive feedback! Smile

I like the rhythm section a lot! The guitar goes, stylistically, too close to conventional fusion (IMO), but it's also very well done. The drums and distorted bass combo makes me think of Cheer Accident, Birds And Buildings or Zu - which is great. Loved the outro.

Here's a jazz/fusion jam I uploaded yesterday, btw. A very cool groove in 13/8.

I used a 4-piece Pearl kit with two rides and an 16" Crash, btw. It was a fun jam for all three of us, though very tricky to play! Smile

You should come down here sometime and we'll have a jam session Tongue
I love to jam, be creative and have fun creating music. Guitar, bass or keyboards... doesn't really matter

Dood...Make an album.  Really impressive stuff once again. I would totally listen to this on my own without trying to be nice. LOL Very cool. Great bassline and stellar drumming.

And "shave and a haircut" at the end, sweet. LOL
