As I said in my very first post, I think the choices of bands are weird. I can easily think of better Zeuhl/Avant/RIO bands...

Then why not make your own ZAR polls? Tongue
That would be funny. Should I?

Yes I want. That would be awesome! Big smile

This is impossible since you mentioned way too many of my favorites here. I will have to think about it...

Tough call, but seeing as henry Cow haven't got any votes yet I'll go with them - on a different day it could be Magma or UZ. There isn't a band on your list that I don't like, though.

Art Zoyd or Magma. I can't choose. There's still some important albums I have to hear of Art Zoyd before I can compare them to other bands. I love the Faust album. Magma is an incredible band.

No, I cant choose.

Zappa would've won too easily... and I consider him Eclectic Prog anyway. Wink I'll go with Henry Cow, great band... Miriodor is cool too, and Dun would have been a good addition, I heard their album last night. Good stuff.

Univers Zero.

Every band up there (that I've heard) is awesome, though.

I went to Henry Cow. I think that "LegEnd" is a good album.

Where is Zappa and Samla Mammas Manna?

Mr. Bungle? Sleepytime? French TV?

Surely those guys deserve some recognition too. Embarrassed

Oh, well. Based on those listed, I went with Henry Cow. I'd be very surprised if it isn't them or Univers Zero who ultimately get the majority of votes.

1. Magma
2. Univers Zero

I have to say Rio/Zeuhl has started to grow on me and some interviews with the bands is on it's way.

In the choice between Present and Shub Niggurath, I went for the latter one. I just think they deserve some attention here. But it was a flip of a coin decision.

Personal bias, but I wouldn't put any of those on the same pedestal as most of the listed choices.  And I would have been very surprised not to see Magma take it.  Though I went with Art Zoyd, I'm hardly unhappy to see Magma, which I truly  love, in the lead, and Magma was an influence on Art Zoyd.

Incidently, I prefer Hoyry-Kone to Alamaailman Vasarat, but certainly do like both.

Magma is my favourite but in order to support a less known band I voted - like a real chauvinist - for Aranis.

Same here, but I'm including  Magma.
