I thought i'd come with some suggestions to improve this site.

What annoys me the most is the seach function on this forum. To only search within the topics is really crap! I used to be able to seach for any word within a discussion, but after that was taken away, so did i basically..
I think this forum is so comlex as it is (too complex really). See how nice progressiveears.com is for instance - it's easy to find everything, and you can seach for anything you want.

So please get a proper seach function!

LOL

You know, you stand a much better chance of being heard if you tone down the aggression. Putting a request in the terms you put yours is just a tad rude.

I do like the review-section on progarchives by all means, but i just get lost by the 50 (or something) various forum-sites there are here.

I am a member of ProgEars too, and finding a thread once it's dropped off the front page can be next to impossible. However, their members like things that way, and we like things the way they are here. Personally, I prefer to have sections rather than all the threads lumped together, but that's just me.

To seach in the body of the posts use the Google search from the main PA front page and select "forum":

...it's not perfect, but it works.

I didn't know that worked in the forum, so that's great! Thanks you very much!

Personally I wouldn't have minded the forum to contract a bit - to put the categories grouped together below here to one part of the forum.

And to have a prog lounge and and off-topic section (General Discussions) shown in a manner inspired by Prog Ears, by for instance letting the 20 most resent posts be show below the header on the "frontpage" of the forum. But that's just me I guess.

That's because it's a fairly new facility. I only found it a few months back, too.
