Why wouldn't it be true? Do we not believe the Guardian anymore?

It seems like a good idea to me. If it's not making you any money, why wouldn't you get rid of it? It's not like they're levelling it for a McDonald's. It's nice that the Beatles and Pink Floyd recorded some famous albums there, but does that really matter? I'd imagine they've replaced the equipment since then so you can't even get the ghost of John Lennon to guide your hand on the mixing board anymore.

Depends. If they were leveling the building for something -- anything else, it would matter. There's no reason why that site shouldn't be a historical landmark.

Things aren't going to remain the same way forever just because we want them too.

Yes.

And to be honest, I don't give much of a damn for rock. It's the classical side of EMI that worries me. For rock, there's plenty of labels....

And abbey road is just a studio. Legendary maybe, but just a room with lots of pegs, knobs and speakers.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-03-10/emi-music-says-ceo-leoni-sceti-to-step-down-from-record-label.html - EMI's CEO is leaving. What does that mean? I don't know, but I thought I should share.

And T, while I agree that EMI Classical is more valuable, DG is all you really need. :P

Truth. But usually DG is a little more expensive.
