I'm moderatly new here, well its my first post anyway...
the name's mark, and i'm from newcastle in england...
I'm into random prog stuff really lol there's alot to look at and its quite nice to see lots of good music to check out, my favorite band is opeth closely followed by dream theater, and recently started getting rush cds got 2112, moving pictures and permanent waves. I'm impressed so far to say the least trying to decide which to get next I'm thinking about A farewell to kings or hemispheres...
Also recently got camel 'moonmadness', jethro tull 'the broadsword and the beast' and marillion 'misplaced childhood' amongst others...but lots more to see haha and a heck of alot more to listen to unfortunatly not enough hours in the day

Hey there. Glad to see you like Opeth, Dream Theater, and Rush...a few of my favorites as well.
As far as Rush, you really need to get BOTH Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres.....they're probably Rush's two best. That's my opinion anyway.
And also with Jethro Tull, you gotta go back to the good ol' days of Thick as a Brick and Aqualung. If you like Dt, Opeth, Tull, and Rush, you'll like Thick as a Brick. And if you like Misplaced Childhood, go grab its "evil twin album", Clutching at Straws.

If you like 'Moonmadness', you'll probably love 'Music Inspired By The Snow Goose', 'Mirage' and 'Camel' by Camel. As for '...Broadsword...' , I'd probably say 'Jethro Tull.com' is the closest cousin to it so it'd be good to listen to that record as well.Posted By: JLocke

Damn, i totally forgot to look back at this oh well. I got A farewell to kings (excellent album btw) Just recently got Mirage (really good me thinks)  thanks for the recommends, i'll have to get around to get this stuff, don't really get to buy much cds which is unfortunate but oh well.------------- 'What happened to our innocence, did it go out of style' |

Also i've been on it alot lately, done a few reviews but i wouldn't say i'm particularly good at writing them. Still having trouble contributing to conversations as most stuff I don't really know lol ------------- 'What happened to our innocence, did it go out of style' |
