How about a little fun with one of my favorite bands?

You know you're a RUSH fan when they call you The Working Man.

You know you're a RUSH fan when you have a country place that no one knows about.

You know you're a RUSH fan when you dine on honeydew and drink the milk of paradise.

You know you're a Rush fan when you lose sight of the way, in mechanized world out of hand.

Obviously, only Jim Garten (a superior cynic) dances to a synthetic band.

Corny joke we used to like at our rock club in the early '80s:

How does Geddy Lee ask for a bun?

-wave arm in front of nose, elephant like-

"can I have a bun please?"

(hey, we were young & drunk)

You know you're a Rush fan when...

You strain your vocal cords imitating Geddy Lee.

You name your D&D character 'Lerxst'

You can name all four cover songs Rush played, and where they played them.

You have 'Can't Fight it' (obscure B side to first single) stuck in your head.

You think 'Twilight Zone' is (or should be) the theme song for the show.

You write an essay comparing Neil Peart's philosophy with that of Ayn Rand...

You know you're a rush fan when you can quote random Rush songs off the top of your head...

A planet of playthings, we dance on the strings

of powers we cannot perceive,

"The stars aren't aligned, or the gods are malign"

Blame is better to give than receive... - Freewill

Held Within the Pleasuredome, Decreed by Kubla Khan,

To taste my bitter triumph, As a mad immortal man,

Nevermore shall I return, Escape these caves of ice,

For I have dined on honeydew, and Drunk the milk of Paradise... - Xanadu

You know you're a RUSH fan when you realize you've become a Centurion of Evil!

You know you're a RUSH fan when (cough cough) smoke rings fill the air (cough).

You know you're a RUSH fan when you're lit up like a firefly.

And you know you're a RUSH fan when Garton strikes the "Hemispheres" pose after taking a shower and you don't consider it particularly odd.

You know you're a Rush fan when you refuse to rise to such criticism of one of the most seminal live albums of all time , believing the critic to be sadly mis-guided

You know you're a RUSH fan when you decide to " choose freewill " to post a reply upon a discussion not related to music!

( A devoted RUSH fan here BTW  that just happens to dislike that particular live recording  )

The last quotation is the most intriguing.

Ha! Glass Prison is clearly an imposter! A spy in the house of Rush.

Lucas, methinks his world would come into focus if only he could 'begin the day with a friendly voice' or indeed find himself a 'companion unobtrusive'

Maybe his lyrical faux pas, happened because a 'tired mind become a shape shifter'

I'm getting outa here before the 'dragons grow to mighty, to slay with pen or sword'

Aaaaaggghhhh!!!

If you've ever lost sleep thinking they might not put out another album, while debating if the celestial mechanics working on Cygnus hum "Into the Darkness" or just discuss the circumstances.

S.O.H. kicks ass BTW
