here's something different..and maybe not so known..I'd like simply to tell you the beauty of the album "Stan Getz..Bossa&More" ..Is there any bossa-jazz lover in?well..try to listen to this superb sax...especially in "Desafinado",or "The girl from Ipanema"(maybe my favourite song! )...you won't be the same, again!!

I'm sorry Domi, but i don't like Stan Gets that much... I prefer more energetic saxophone players (like Cannoball Adderly).

Look for Getz/Gilberto, featuring Antonio Carlos Jobim, it's a classic and contains the previously mentioned "Desafinando" and "The girl from Ipanema".

Apparently Alex Lifeson likes him... (listen to his rant on La Villa Strangiato on Rush in Rio). Overall, I'd say he's pretty cool. A very cool jazz man.

Yes, I like bossa nova, at least Antonio Carlos Jobim. I love his masterpiece Waves (1967), as well as some of his work with Elis Regina.

Stan Getz: I still need to check him out. Thanks for the reminder.

Getz is one of the most over-rated bassist IMHO.
