Seconds Out is a superb album. I've only got it on vinyl. Will have to track
down a CD version to put on the iPod.

You'd have to list the best album first before people can vote. I don't see anything there remotely related to best live album of all....

801 Live takes the cake foresure, a true classic, stands the test of time the best as well. I commend who ever started this poll because it cuts through all the bull (Rush, ELP, etc..). Let's face it most of that stuff sounds cheesy, unless you are a long time huge fan who has been desensitize to it at this point. Geddy Lee's howl is a cheesy Zep rip, plain and simple.
Anyhow great poll and great bands.

Genesis: 'Seconds Out' quite possibly is mine, although the choice is rather limited.

I miss a lot. Magma Live? How about live albums of Gong? Of the choices given I vote Van der Graaf Generator - Vital. Of course the Japanese pressing as double CD with all 10 tracks. Not the best of sounds but what fantastic music. Had the Magma Live album of 1975 and Gong Est Mort - Vive Gong been on the list, I would have had a hard time to choose.

Of the albums listed I'd choose "Vital" or 801, but there are certainly many others I miss on that list. How about Guru Guru or Kraan Live? Jean already mentioned Magma. "Live Herald" by Steve Hillage is excellent too.

Renaissance - Liive at Carnegie Hall and Camel - A Live Record are the best by far.
Only Once in a Lifetime by Runrig (not prog) beats them out of all the live albums I've heard. Seconds Out is the best of those listed, buts it's a poor selection.

------------- Vive le Québec libre!...

Ricochet is a nice album...but too dominated by repetitive sequencers and arpegiattos, moreover it's maybe too closed to studio albums such as Rubycon, I regret that it dosen't have the real spirit of music played "live"

What's Wire doing on here? They're one of the seminal punk bands,
and I'd be hard pressed to find a band that has less to do with prog
(although they are a great band).

I have been trying to start a new genre on this site entitled "Progressive Punk". Check out that poll, it has paved the way for some interesting discussion.
