if anyone misses the sound of the NES...
there's an online event going on http://30songs30days.com/ - here in which musicians make 30 songs in 30 days. since it's being hosted by a person sorta well-known in the 8-bit world, most of the people taking part are also composing low-bit music, but I've heard a few guitar-and-vocal tracks, along with some improvised noise/electroac.
it's probably too late to sign up but if you wanna do something similar then start up a blog and post your stuff from day to day. note that it doesn't have to be one song a day; you can do them all on the 30th.
my songs are listed under zan-zan. the reason i post this here is that my music is always prog as hell. ;p

it's ok if no-one's interested, but it's a fun challenge. anyone out there who thinks they are a shaky but eager composer might wanna consider joining in - it's a good way to get better in an environment where other people are doing the same, none so imposing that they'll routinely make songs that crush yours to dust

I find this very interesting, only reason i will pass, is the fact that my job ect. will not make it possible.
1 track a week would be my top production spped.
------------- Prog is whatevey you want it to be. So dont diss other peoples prog, and they wont diss yours

I probably have 60 unreleased 8-bit video game compositions sitting on my hard drives. But I don't have time to unrar them. I guess I'll miss this great opportunity.
