Just a quickie to announce that I heard the most hillarious house re-mix of Owner of lonely heart yesterday on BBC radio 1. I kid you not. Listern out for it. Its likely to chart if it hasn't already. I was in the gym at the time, and for some horrible reason it conjured up images of jon Anderson in leg warmers doing aerobics. Apologies to anyone who's having lunch!!

There does seem to be an annoying habit of 'pop' bands digging up rock classics and murdering them in public places... eg an awful dance version of 'Cold As Ice' that was released last year, or Steve Winwood's 'Valerie'...I was about to say that 'they are bankrupt of ideas' and 'all the good tunes have been written', but then I realised I would sound just like my Mum...God help me! ------------- Music has always been a matter of energy to me. This has been going on for ages, I remember almost puking when I heard Natalie Merchant doing the monotone drone version of Peace Train, or England Dan and John whathisname doing a no inflections allowed version of Love is the answer. The best of the worst though is when a really bad band does a cover of another really bad band. |

Keep trying, Snow Dog! I used to love Yes and Genesis, but hate Pink Floyd. Then my dad played me the Echoes compilation, and I started to think, "Hey, maybe I just didn't give them a chance..." And though it took me a while to admit it, I am now a full fledged Floyd fan! P.S. I hate Echoes now, because of the way the songs are shortened. -------------
