I can interview the guy whenever I want, 24/7, but I don't know if my review will fit the archives. I know he was in Blackfield with Steven Wilson, but I don't know, will prog related interviews help? Just answer me so I can know if I should interview him or not.

There's, theoretically, no problem.

Does "whenever you want" also mean "whenever he wants" too? Wink

Joking, but he's easily accessible and he wants to.

Might as well! And you never know if he's got something brewing again with the Blackfield project (or perhaps you do know and I'm slow on this train), but moreso I think I'd find it fascinating hearing how the music business is somewhere that's not Western Europe or America. You know? Being a popular Israeli musician surely has given him lots of interesting things to tell us.

Sounds like it would be wothwhile.Big smile I'd suggest his work with Wilson would be the aspect of greatest interest in these parts.

You could also ask how he likes working with Steven Wilson... :P Anyways, cool that you can do an interview! :O

The guy is related to prog in many ways. Brian Eno was one of his major supporters when he first began, he had Blackfield with Steven Wilson, and now, Trevor Horn is producing his new album. I wanna be him, if only for the prog relations...

Sorry to say the opposite to everyone else here but please do not interview him.
His very aggressive and direct approach is much to hard to digest for the mannered members of PA.

Or at least work hard on a soft translation.

I really don't get what you're saying about why he shouldn't go ahead with it. Its an opportunity he'd be insane to miss.

Aviv Gefen has a quite impolite way to say his quite unusual ideas. It's not the ideas but his vulgar behaviour which I believe will disturb lots here.
However, the way I see it, what he (or any other artist) got to say is not prior to any other man on earth. I may adore Gogol's writing (actualy I do) but I don't agree to a thing he thought about how society should be mannaged. Hope I cleared my point.

So we shouldn't interview him because he might disagree with you in a rude manner? We prog fans are such softies. Most other lines of music, you interview a man and expect to be treated to a miasma of idiotic opinions and ranting.

+1 for LiquidEternity right there. Let him express his so-called "vulgar" opinions and we'll see where it takes us, shall we?

I can't see anyone getting really offended by the vulgarism, so I don't really think it'll be a problem...

Go for it!

As a devout Christian, I would prefer this site not to be laced with ugly f**king vulgarities.

Now seriously, What do we expect to learn of any interview ?
I remember a great weiter (don't remember who) asked to explain what he was trying to say and replied that all the answers are in the book.
