Grobschnitt - Rockpommel's Land 1977.

I just bought this vinyl record and I was happily surprised with the nice artwork and the lovely sound. However, I read on PA that there is some controversy about this record. Some say the best record ever, some find it just another symphorecord with horrible vocals with German accents. Let's talk about this record.

Free association! Keep'em coming.

very nice artwork  .you can see the yes influence in it  [ sometimes sounds like Yes, but they also have their own style ,
the album is really good [ i prefert ballermann  anyway ] and i think the flower kings sounds more like  Grobschnitt  that  Yes .[ im sure r. stolt listen to this band way too much ]

Who did the art work? Roger Dean? Patrick Woodruff? I remember having the cd but I was tempted by a friend to trade it in exchange for Guru, Guru Live 1978. So I only heard it once. I did hear Solar Musik Live and it seemed a bit more in the Hawkwind vain. Kraut rock is interesting to me because the first wave of German bands to combine influences anywhere from Yes to American jazz but not falling into the copy cat syndrome like some of the mainstream prog bands in the late 70's.
