I am moving to Portland this Spring and I would like to check out its local prog scene when I get there. What local bands should I check out?

I hear about Shelter Red a lot. They are from Portland and they play in Salt Lake (where I live) quite a bit.

Any other suggestions? Also, does anyone have any venues to suggest? I'm moving in two weeks and I'm really looking forward to getting involved in the local music scene.
