Honestly I thought of the second option first, though your inclusion of "A" in the topic sentence confused me and I knew that the genre was probably not the case but I couldn't for the life of me figure out another option of what it could be.

Ithink it would be structured like classical arabic.
One (main) singer, lost of instruments, and very long songs (20-50min) with 20-30% singing, long parts and long evolutions and lots of improvisation and organ solos, drum & bass being predominant with Brass/Reed section.
Damn, this actually sounds nice!
