Honestly I thought of the second option first, though your inclusion of "A" in the topic sentence confused me and I knew that the genre was probably not the case but I couldn't for the life of me figure out another option of what it could be. -------------

Ithink it would be structured like classical arabic. One (main) singer, lost of instruments, and very long songs (20-50min) with 20-30% singing, long parts and long evolutions and lots of improvisation and organ solos, drum & bass being predominant with Brass/Reed section.
