I've been listening to a lot of Kevin Gilbert lately, and was wondering which of these two superb albums is preferred. Personally, I have to go with Shaming of the True, but Thud is awesome too. Awesome musician with great ideas. R.I.P. Kevin -------------

Wow, Here's a topic that you don't see every day. I can't vote as I've only heard Shaming, his albums aren't the easiest to find at times. I love both albums and my answer will depend on my mood probably - so right now, Thud. Oh man, so hard to choose. Kevin Gilbert is one of my favorite songwriters... each of these is great in a different way. Thud has to be lyrically one of my favorite albums ever, but Shaming of the True has one of the best concepts and the music is stronger than on Thud. I'll go with SotT right now but it changes.
What I'd really love to find is his "Kaviar Sessions", but it's impossible to find.
