Shred III is no more, so I have jumped once more into the breach with an exciting new thread with a thrilling new name because I'm bored.

I am currently listening to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzN2gUGYUGc&fmt=18 - Ravi Shankar .

Family Guy is just as abysmal now as it was in the previous thread.

It appears to no longer be with us, and it had almost 10,000 replies, so I can see why.

I decided Live Free or Shred Hard was too confusing, so I've shortened it. I feel that inserting Hard in there is esssential to show how tough and manly we are, but feel free to disagree, terrorist.

This week I finally finished my latest writing assignment at college. The bad news? It took three times as long as I counted on, and now I'm way too exhausted to do anything more intellectually demanding than listening to the Sisters of Mercy. Ouch

I suggest reading the whole thing when you can.

It was really long, I didn't realize how long it would take when I started. Whoops, it's 4:40am again...

Harry, Vivaldi rules, don't you implicitly talk about him that way by saying Baroque sucks. And I did end up buying the Vivaldi CD twice accidentally, and now I can't cancel it because it's already shipped. :(

Vivaldi played some mean violin and I dig some of his work, so I was kinda exaggerating when I said all of Baroque sucks. It's just not up to the quality of Romantic or some of the 20th century shiz.
Four Seasons is a good occasional listen.
After a while, there is something almost grating about the use of pedal point lines being used so much though.
It could be because Yngwie Malmsteen and every single neo-classical guitar virtuoso ever since has over-used the pedal point thing though, I dunno.

I'll compromise.

Family Guy is funnier and I prefer the purile and below-the-belt humour.

The Simpsons episodes flow and work as a story better.  Mike is right.  Series 1-7 are excellent.

I can't imagine that it's going to get many more listens from me... and I can see a scathing review on the horizon. Oddly, on the metal side, Iron Maiden's Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son arrived today, and that was a fantastic listen. About Scenes... I liked the Indo-metal/whatever you'd call that track... Home, maybe?

Also, Awake has changed my estimation of James Labrie a bit. Some amazing vocals on there

Being as objective as possible on PA (considering it's a prog site), I'd give all of Henry Cow's albums 5 stars. I can't say the same for Rush, as much as I love them.

Are you having a belated Thanksgivings?! Shocked

No.  Somebody gave us a turkey, and we've had it since December.  We thawed it this weekend, and now I just cleaned it, pulled out the heart, liver, etc., and pulled out the neck, and now it's in the oven!

I had to wash my hands like ten times.

Well... not really.

Being as objective as possible on PA (considering it's a prog site), I'd give all of Henry Cow's albums 5 stars. I can't say the same for Rush, as much as I love them.

Plus, you forgot about the boxset. Wink

Rush in Rio alone pwns Henry Cow.

Angry

TAKE IT BACK

Bob Dylan simply pwns both of them.

Oh, I'm sure we'll be eating on it for the next three days or so.  LOL  There's only three of us, and one of us isn't even two yet!

Ah!  But think of the different ways leftover turkey can be enjoyed!

I'm not a leftovers advocate, that's why I haven't thought about that.

Sure, I do leave over something when eating most of the times (make sure your kid doesn't do that if you don't want him to keep doing that the rest of his life), but those don't go back in the fridge.

All of Henry Cow's albums deserve 5 stars? That is not objective at all, my friend
