A French collective of musicians. Here's their Myspace bio:
http://www.myspace.com/pointgrafenberg - www.myspace.com/pointgrafenberg
- Gräfenberg is a clandestine musical collective opposed to the media
occupation imposed by the record industry in order to turn music into a
mere consumer product. The international conspiracy of the big record
labels is to lodge subliminal messages wherever possible to brainwash
us and make us think, for instance, that Carla Bruni is a great singer.
- The Gräfenberg collective, free from all commercial constraints, has
unanimously decided to play only music it likes. This being prohibited
by Kommandantur MTV as deemed subversive, our collective is staging a
resistance and has gone underground. Our inspiration is our strength
and our instruments, our weapons.
- Our message is obscured by Big Labels Inc. The French national music
festival, on 21 June each year, is meant to be a celebration of liberty
and art, yet on television has become a celebration of Céline Dion and
Vanessa Paradis(already over-promoted all year round), and the
independent radio stations are rife with Killers and other public
health threats.
- Show Business is afraid of us, and has decided to ignore us. Thus
Michel Drucker has never invited us to appear on his show and Nagui
still hasn't dared come to one of our concerts.
- In retaliation, the Gräfenberg collective has, after lengthy studies,
discovered the secret chord of Ernest Gräfenberg, which is thought to
possess, amongst other things, the same properties as the spot which
takes Gräfenberg's initial. This chord, broadcast simultaneously on all
television and radio wavelengths at full volume over the entire planet,
from the Antarctic to the Himalayas via the Amazon and the Bermuda
Triangle, would produce a planetary orgasmic jolt, delivering humanity
from its cow-like state of indoctrination.
- We have found the secret chord, all we need now is to find a way for it to be heard the world over.
- The fight has only just begun…
- Musicians of the world, unite!

Indeed - on the first measures of KAR 120C I thought this was a modern version of Malicorne. After that it becomes more jazzy and improvised (almost). Certainly not bad, but to be listened when in the right mood only. Zone Violace is of similar vain, folky violins and keys mixed with more experimental bass and guitar pieces. Could be put next to Nine Tob and Palinckx maybe, but without the vocals.
Interesting motivation for starting a band as well..
