Just joined the forums and thought I'd say hello. I've lurked the site for years but never signed up for the forums - eventually I figured it was time to go legit :)
I'm 23 and I live in Boston, MA (although soon to move again). I just graduated from college with a Bachelor's in Music and am now searching for my place in life. My eventual goal is to own a tavern/brew house, crafting my own beers downstairs and selling them upstairs. Until then I work and live and enjoy my life the best I can, spending my off time doing all things nerdy, having a good time with friends and listening to music.
Speaking of music, I listen to a wide range of genres (the result of being exposed to so many musicians during college) including orchestral and vocal "classical" music, rock groups like Journey, Cheap Trick, and Led Zeppelin, and (go figure!) progressive.
As far as progressive music goes I'm a huge fan of Steven Wilson (and Porcupine Tree in general), Sonata Arctica, Symphony X, Genesis, Amaran's Plight, Dream Theater (gotta respect 'em), Opeth, Nightwish (old and new), Rush - the list goes on and on.
Anyway, I look forward to chewing the fat with all you guys and I can't wait to find new bands to rock out to. Peace!
